Do I need a referral? In the state of Colorado, PT is considered a "Direct Access" service, meaning that you do not need a referral from your doctor for treatment. The providers at NTPT are Doctors of Physical Therapy, and are skilled in examination and assessment of the human body.

Do you take my insurance?NTPT is an out-of-network physical therapy provider. We do not contract with insurance companies; however, we can provide documentation to submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. We accept direct payment for services at the end of each session. For patients with out-of-network benefits, we will create a superbill and can help you submit this document to your insurance for possible reimbursement. We are an out-of-network provider because we believe this model allows us to offer the highest-level of care. With declining reimbursement from most insurance companies, physical therapists are often forced to see multiple patients at the same time to make ends meet. They are also often limited to only a few sessions before benefits run out. Our model eliminates surprises by making sure patients and providers both know exactly how much treatment will cost so that better care can be delivered without interruptions from controlling insurance based care. Traditional outpatient physical therapy clinics often squeeze in 3-4 patients per hour and spend large amounts of time using outdated modalities like hot-packs and ultrasound. At NTPT, our treatments are evidence-based and meant to help you achieve the best results, as soon as possible. We want to spend your entire session one-on-one, answering your questions and helping you feel better.

How can I get reimbursed by my insurance company?**Reimbursement is not promised. It depends on your insurance plan. We encourage our patients to use the Reimbursify App to get money back from their insurance company as quickly as possible. The process is easy: after your visit, we can send you a detailed "superbill" that you upload to the app. Your insurance company will receive the bill, and send you money back directly through the app. If your claim is denied, Reimbursify's pro's will help you straighten things out.

What should I expect during my visits? All of your visits will be one hour and 1-on-1 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. Your physical therapist will arrive at your home with a treatment table and all necessary equipment for assessment and treatment interventions. The first initial evaluation will include a full body movement assessment to determine range of motion (ROM) and strength limitations, movement faults, mobility deficits, etc. From this assessment, you will make specific goals with your physical therapist and together you will determine your plan of care and what is needed to address your needs. Treatment will be provided on the first day as well. Follow up visits will include necessary treatment to get you back to living your best life.
